Back in the 801

We have finally returned back to Utah this past week! We absolutely loved the 2 month extended honeymoon (at least thats what it felt like, with living on the prettiest island ever!) We enjoyed our time on Martha's Vineyard from working full-time in the cafe to meeting some great friends that we will never forget.  We got this opportunity from Tony's older brother, Alex. Alex and his wife Victoria worked in MacPhail's Corner Cafe two summers ago. When Tony and I were engaged we talked about what we wanted to do after we got married. Instead of staying in Kaysville for the summer we wanted to do something exciting and fun before real life had to start. So as you can imagine, when we heard of this opportunity of us being able to live on Martha's Vineyard and make great money, we didn't even hesitate! Tony was the cook in the back. He had to bake everything bright and early every morning. He was the hardest worker and a dang good cook! He baked scones, muffins, and cookies everyday. The most popular thing we had was our famous lobster rolls! I was not familiar with lobster rolls before moving out there, but if I learned anything while spending my time there it was not to mess with people and their lobster rolls! They LOVE their lobster rolls out there!! We had awesome food in our cafe besides the lobster rolls. My favorites were the salads! I worked up front being the barista. I went out there not knowing what was even in a latte, so as you can imagine... I was completely new to this whole coffee idea. After a few days I got all the drinks down and had memorized what each drink was called and how to make it. I learned to really enjoy making all difference kinds of drinks. My favorite thing about it was having the same people come in each morning and get their coffee. I met some really awesome people that I will always remember.. and their coffee order.
As you can tell we loved our experiences on Martha's Vineyard. Now that we are home, I already miss it. We came home this past week for my best friend, Monica's wedding. It was yesterday and it turned out beautiful!!! I am so glad that I was able to be apart of her special day and see how happy they are.
Now that real life is starting soon, Tony and I are trying to get all settled in before we both start school. He had an interview last Friday and made it to another interview for this Friday so we will be crossing our fingers waiting to see if he gets it. He will be going to the U of U and I will still be at Weber State. It works out perfect because we will be living right in the middle of both schools. We aren't ready to jump back into school yet, but hopefully within the next two weeks we will be ready!
I will be posting pictures on the blog soon! I promise I will this time, haha.
I will be updating this more often than when I was in Martha's Vineyard cause we will actually have Internet full-time. Yay!!!  Haha the simple pleasures!

Thanks for reading about our adventures!!
